How do I find bank rates, including mortgage rates?
Bank of Canada: See options under Interest Rates for 10 years of Canadian or US information.
Statistics Canada:
WRDS ( Open only to faculty, gradate students, and staff): Select Federal Reserve Bank Reports in the "Subscriptions" menu.
Bloomberg (available in the Business Library):
- Type BKRT and hit the green <GO> key to access data from BankRate.com.
- Choose a rate of interest (e.g., Savings and Money Market), then select a product type (e.g., Interest-bearing Checking).
- Now, you'll be able to see state-by-state rates as well as national.
