Canadian Bankers Association: See the Statistics section. There is an option to download statistics in both .pdf and .xls format.
IBIS World: Search for banking industry reports by keyword or NAICS code (e.g. 522)
Statista: In the top navigation menu select Reports > Industry Reports. Search "banking" and use the Regions/Countries filter to limit results to Canada.
MarketLine Advantage: In the top navigation menu click Sectors > Financial Services. Then use the Geography filter on the left to limit results to Canada. View industry profiles and look for Banks.
Mergent Investext: For analyst reports on Canadian banks. Add option from criteria +Country: Canada. Add option from criteria +Industry: Banks (use Industry lookup tool).
Fitch Connect:
- Enter Canada into the search bar at the top of the page. Select Canada under the “Entities” heading. In the country profile click the Industry Risk drop-down in the top navigation menu and choose Banking & Financial Services if available.
- For data - Select Data Tools in the top navigation menu. Choose the Interactive Charts option. Choose Canada using the select entities/geographies option. For the data item choose a category from Industries > Banking & Financial Services. Next, select a date range and finally a visualization option.
Economist Intelligence Unit: In the top navigation menu click Country and select Canada. Hover over the Industry tab and select Financial Services.
Pitchbook (instructions to create an account here): Search banks in the search box at the top of the screen. Then select the Industries & Verticals tab. Double-click on an industry to view a full overview. In the overview, select Modify Criteria at the top. On the search screen use the "Location" dropdown to choose Canada. Then click Search in the top right corner of the screen.
