Factiva: See the Ratio Comparison Report, which compares key financial ratios of a company against its industry, sector, and the S&P 500 Index aggregates. To find the report click on Companies/Markets in the top navigation menu. Search for a company to access its company snapshot. In the company snapshot select Reports, and then from the "Select a Template" drop-down select the Ratio Comparison Report option.
Mergent Online: Search for a Company to view its company profile. Select the Report builder tab, then select the Comparison reports sub-tab. Ensure that Compare Company Against Industry is selected. Use the "Comparison Reporting Select Screen" to build a custom report.
Bloomberg (available in the Business Library): Type a ticker symbol, hit the EQUITY key, type RV, then press GO (e.g. AAPL US <Equity> RV <GO>).
Capital IQ (available in the Business Library): To compare a company to peers within the same industry. Search for a company to access its profile. In the company profile, click Quick Comps under the Peer Analysis heading in the menu to the left.
Mergent Investext: Find analyst reports about an industry. Most industry reports discuss individual competitors. In the search screen add your industry, select industry report as the report style, and add a company.
Pitchbook (instructions to create an account here): Search for a company. In the company profile click Comps Analysis in the top menu.
Plunkett Corporate Benchmarking Reports: Search for a company. Use the Sorted by drop-down menu to choose Most recent first and see the latest reports
