How do I find info on Mergers and Acquisitions?

Try Nexis Uni. Use the Guided Search feature. Select Company Info, then enter the name of a company, and select Mergers and Acquisitions from the "...and show me" drop-down menu.


PrivCo has private company information (mostly U.S. but some Canadian). Search for a company. In the company profile select the Deals tab.

  • The Knowledge Bank (book icon), also has definitions for mergers and acquisition transactions.

Use Mergent Online. Search for a company. See the History section within the "Company details" tab. Use the "Topics" drop-down menu to select information such as Acquisition Completed or Merger Completed.


Use Capital IQ (available in the Business Library).

  • Hover over Markets in the top navigation menu and select M&A.
  • For company activity - search for a company. Within the company profile select M&A/Private Placements under the "Transactions" heading in the menu to the left

Use Bloomberg (available in the Business Library). Type MA and hit GO.

  • For a list of a company's deals use the code MADL
