How do I find info on Mergers and Acquisitions?

Nexis Uni. Select Company Info, enter name and show me mergers and acquisitions.

SDC Platinum (in-library use only)  offers much greater searching and exporting capabilities. See Mergers & Acquisitions section.

Use Go to Bloomberg (available in the Business Library). Type MA and hit GO.

In Bloomberg, for a list of a company's deals use the code MADL

Use Capital IQ (available in the Business Library). Under the Markets tab.

Omni search on Mergers and Acquisitions

Search Canadean - search company name and merger etc. Choose reports that have Company Profile, SWOT & Financial Report as part of the title.

In PrivCo click on the Knowledge Bank tab for overview of mergers and acquisition transactions.

For Canadian information back to 1986 see the monthly print publication Mergers & Acquisitions in Canada.  Issues from 1991 to 2003 are available in Factiva. The needed code is rst=macq.  Sample search:   rst=macq AND steel
