See Canadian Industry Statistics. Browse for an industry, or search a NAICS code. Industry profiles include information on the number and size of businesses.
Go to Small Business Administration Online Firm Size Data (U.S. only).
Use Capital IQ (available in the Business Library). Use the Screening > Company Screening feature to generate a list of companies according to your criteria.
Use PrivCo for private company information (primarily U.S. but some Canadian). Use the advanced search screen (magnifying glass icon). Companies can be filtered by revenue, total employees, etc.
Use Mergent Intellect for private and public company info. On the advanced search screen, click the Size tab and choose a criteria.
Try Nexis Uni. From the Menu drop-down, choose Company Dossier. Then select Create a Company List where you can set a range for sales/revenue and number of employees.
Use Mergent Online. Click the advanced search tab. Generate a company list by specifying criteria such as number of employees, total revenue, etc.
Use Bloomberg (available in the Business Library).
