How do I find statistics about movies?

The Numbers: A free resource for industry professionals, the investment community, and movie fans to track business information on movies.

Box Office Mojo: For box office numbers in the US and Worldwide. 

Statista: Search for statistics on movies by keyword.

Motion Picture Theatre Associations of Canada: See the Reports and Policies tab. Reports and infographics often include statistics on various topics related to the Canadian film industry.

Statistics Canada: Search for data and analysis by keywords, or see the Film and Video Distribution page.

IBIS WorldSearch for movie-related industry reports by keyword (movies, movie theaters, movie production, movie distribution, etc.) or NAICS code (e.g. 51211) .

Mintel Reports: Select Category/Technology & Media/Media/Music, TV & FilmFurther refine results by selecting an option from the region, trend drivers, and demographics filters.

MarketLine Advantage: Search for movies and entertainment. Refine results using the filters on the left side of the search results page.

Pitchbook (instructions to create an account here): Search Movies in the top search bar, then select the Industries & Verticals tab. Select Movies, Music and Entertainment to view an industry overview including companies, deals, investors, exits, and relevant reports if available.

First Research: Search for industry reports by keyword (e.g. film, movies, movie theaters, etc.) or NAICS code.

BCC Research: Search for industry reports by keyword (e.g. film, movies, video, etc.).
