How do I find a database of business filings by state?
Try a Google search for "business filings" and the name of the state (ex. business filings South Carolina). All 50 states make some level of corporate and business filings available online.
To see SEC filings from companies in a particular state, use EDGAR. Click More Options under the search bar and use the "State" drop-down to select a state. Fill out other fields as required.
