How do I find info on energy, including prices and production?

Use the advanced search feature in our Library Catalogue to search the SUBJECT field for - Petroleum Industry and Trade Periodicals

Use Bloomberg, located in the Business Library. Type NRG for the Bloomberg Energy Service.
For location and fuel type of power plants, type the company's ticker symbol, hit the EQUITY key, type NRGA.
For OPEC prices and production, type OPEC and hit GO.
For crude oil type CRUD and hit GO.

Use Fitch Connect. Select Data Tools in the top navigation menu. Choose the Interactive Charts option. Choose a country using the select entities/geographies option. For the data item select an indicator from Industries > Oil & Gas > Energy Prices. Next, select a date range and finally a visualization option.

See Financial Times (create an account with your @uwo.ca email): Using the main menu select Markets > Markets Data. On the next page choose Commodities from the menu at the top of the page. Then use the drop-down to choose an option for the "Energy" heading.

Go to OECD iLibrary. Click on Statistics, then in the Databases list, scroll down to the IEA Databases.

Go to EMIS and use EnerData for a World data set.

Go to WorldOil.com Prices/Statistics webpage.

Try using OnePetro.org. Use the search bar to find papers on energy prices.

For forecasting prices search EIU - Select Global Forecasting Service from the "My Reports and Services" dropdown.

For in-depth market research and strategy reports with European and Global coverage, try Frost & Sullivan. Click the Browse (graph) icon in the menu to the left. Then choose Energy & Power Systems.
