How do I find boards of directors of companies from prior years?
Use S&P Capital IQ (available in the Business Library). Search for a company. In the company profile, see the menu on the left-hand side. Click People > Board Members. The current list of Board members will appear. Above the list, expand the Customize View section. In the "Status" drop-down, select Prior Board Members and hit GO.
Use Bloomberg (available in Business Library). Search for a Company. Once you have identified the company, click on DES (Security Description) then on the "Management" header (15) Click on the BOARD tab then on the radio button beside Show Board History.
Use Mergent Online. Search for a company. Click on the Executives tab then choose Directors. Once the Current director's names are displayed, check the Display Inactive Executives box on the right-hand side of the screen.
