How do I find a company's R&D expenditures?
FASB (Financial Accounting Standards Board) only requires companies to report R&D Expenditures if they are material, i.e. significant.
Visit Research Infosource Inc.
Go to WRDS (personal registration required. Open only to faculty, PhDs and staff)
Choose Compustat North America
Choose Industrial Annual
Enter your company in Company Code
In Data items cursor down to DATA46 - Research & Development Expenses
Use DataStream in the Business Library. Search and display a company in the Equity area and use the datatype WC01201 for Research and Development Expense.
