A company's research and development (R&D) expenditures are typically reported in their income statement, which can be found in: 

• Mergent Online: Search for a company to view its profile. Within the company profile, click on the Company financials tab.
• PitchBook: Search for a company to view its profile. In the company profile, select Financials in the menu to the left.
• MarketLine: Click Companies in the top menu. Search for a company using the search box and select it to view its profile. In the company profile see the Financials tab in the menu to the left.

For data and analysis on R&D Spending:

• Research Infosource Inc. (Canada): For R&D rankings and analysis. Includes rankings of the top 100 corporate R&D spenders in Canada, as well as the top 50 researcher universities, colleges, and hospitals. 
• European Union Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard (Europe): Provides economic and financial data and analysis of the top corporate R&D investors from the EU and from abroad. It is based on company data extracted directly from each company's financial statements.
• National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics R&D Activity Data series (United States): Includes R&D activity data from academic institutions and federal agencies.
