Mergent Online: Search for a company to access its profile. In the company profile, click the Company details tab, then the History sub-tab.
Pitchbook (for public and private companies): Search for a company to access its profile. In the company profile, see the General Information tab, which will have a Year Founded date.
Nexis Uni: Click Menu at the top of the page and choose Company Dossier. Search for your company to access its dossier. The founding date is often mentioned in the Overview section. It may also be found in the References section of the dossier. Within this section find the LexisNexis Corporate Affiliations link and scroll to the Company Information section.
EMIS Intelligence (good for companies in international markets): Click on Client Login at the top right corner of the home screen to access the full database. Then select the Companies tab from the top navigation menu. Search for a company to access its profile. The Incorporation Date can be found in the company Overview tab.
Capital IQ (available in the Business Library): Search a Company to access its profile. Within the company profile, the Year Founded date is listed at the top section of the Tearsheet.
