How do I find economic forecasts?

Use Fitch Connect.

  • Select Country Risk & Industry Research in the top navigation menu. Then select the Industries sub-tab, and choose an industry of interest. In the industry profile use the “Select a Country or Territory” drop-down on the right side of the page to choose a location. Forecasts can be found under the “Outlook” heading.
  • For data- Select Data Tools in the top navigation menu. Choose the Interactive Charts option. Choose a country using the select entities/geographies menu. For the data item select an indicator from the Industries or Macro-Economic options. Next, select a date range and finally a visualization option.

Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) - Click on Data Tool underneath the "My Reports and Services" dropdown. Choose the ViewsWire data package to build a table of past and projected indicators. The EIU World Commodity Forecasts service also offers forecasts.

For Canadian national, provincial and metropolitan area forecasts look in the Conference Board of Canada eLibrary. Search for the terms outlook or trends.
