How do I find the names of media sources (newspapers, radio stations, television stations, magazines) in a Canadian city?

  • Use Press Reader - choose Canada then search the city of interest
  • List: Canadian Newspapers
  • Use Nexis Uni - Click on Browse at top of screen  -- Choose country Canada -- then News -- Newspapers (~45 papers) --- or Magazines etc.
  • Use Factiva - Click on Source in lower half of screen -- type the name of the Canadian community in which you are interested
  • CRTC  --  Choose Broadcast Category (radio, television, or distribution). Search Location in field below Location/Service Area
  • Use Canadian Advertising Rates and Data
