How do I find CUSIP numbers?

A CUSIP Number consists of a series of 9 letters and numbers that correspond to a specific security. 

Mergent Market Atlas: CUSIP Numbers can be found in company filings. Search for your specific COMPANY and then click the FILINGS tab. On the left hand side you can specify the time period and filing type of the SEC filings (Sc 13G, 10-K...). On the right-hand side select the format of the report you want, search document for the CUSIP number

Bloomberg: (available in the Business Library only) Search for a company. Type DES to view the company description, then select the Issue Info tab.

EDGAR: Under the Edgar Search Tools section click "Full Text Search" then click "more search options". Populate the fields with the company's name, date range, and type CUSIP number in the Document word or phrase bar. Results will all include highlighted CUSIP numbers wherever they appear in the selected form & file.
