How do I find capital adequacy ratios (CAR) for banks?
Using Bloomberg search for your bank. Enter the code RVRD (Relative Value Debt Metrics). The table that displays provides the value, compared against that companies peers.
You can also use the Bloomberg Excel add-in to capture the value. Using the time series function look for the field "Total Risk-Based Capital Ratio"
