Will Western's OA policy conflict with journal policies?
No; Western's OA policy will respect journal, publisher, and granting body policies, including any embargoes in place before works are able to be shared openly. While members of the University community agree to publish in open access publications and/or deposit their scholarly work in Scholarship@Western or a trusted disciplinary repository under the OA policy, authors may opt out of the policy when other policies prohibit them from sharing a scholarly work openly.
