How does the Western OA Policy address traditional knowledge and Indigenous ways of knowing?

This Policy recognizes that not all research outputs are appropriate to be shared openly because of cultural, ethical, or privacy concerns, including traditional knowledge and Indigenous ways of knowing. Western scholars who publish works that cannot or should not be made available openly may opt out of the OA Policy using an online form to be made available by Western Libraries.
